LET OUR “YES” BECOME ACTION
On this 26th Sunday in Ordinary Time, the Gospel invites us to examine the sincerity of our response to God. Jesus tells the parable of two sons whose words and actions are very different. One refuses at first but later changes his mind and obeys; the other says “yes” but fails to act. Through this parable, Jesus reminds us that true discipleship is not proved by words alone, but by a life that responds faithfully to the will of God.
This Sunday also offers us a message of hope. Conversion is always possible. Even when we have failed, delayed, or taken the wrong path, God continues to call us back with patience and mercy. What matters is our willingness to change, return to Him, and allow our faith to become visible in our choices, our service, and our daily conduct. May our “yes” to God become a lived response of love, humility, and obedience.
