Transfiguration of the Lord (Aug 6)

LISTEN TO HIM

The Feast of the Transfiguration reveals the hidden glory of Jesus before Peter, James, and John. On the mountain, His face shines like the sun, His garments become radiant, and the Father’s voice declares, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” This moment strengthens the disciples and prepares them to face the mystery of the Cross with faith and hope.

The Transfiguration reminds us that Christ’s glory is present even when life is clouded by fear, suffering, and uncertainty. Like the disciples, we are called to listen to Jesus, remain close to Him, and allow His light to transform our hearts. Strengthened by His word and grace, we must come down from the mountain and carry His light into our families, parishes, and communities.
