All Saints Day (Nov. 1)

CALLED TO HOLINESS

The Solemnity of All Saints invites us to celebrate the countless men and women who lived faithfully and now rejoice in God's heavenly glory. While some are officially recognised as saints, many others lived ordinary lives filled with extraordinary love, faith, and sacrifice. They discovered God's presence in their families, workplaces, and everyday responsibilities. Their lives remind us that holiness is not reserved for a chosen few but is a calling for every Christian. We are all invited to become saints by living with love, humility, and faithfulness.

In today's Gospel (Matthew 5:1-12a), Jesus presents the Beatitudes as the pathway to true happiness and holiness. He calls blessed those who are poor in spirit, merciful, pure of heart, peacemakers, and those who suffer for righteousness. The saints embraced these Gospel values and transformed ordinary moments into opportunities for holiness. Their example encourages us to recognise that we do not need to perform extraordinary deeds to become saints; we need to do ordinary things with extraordinary love. Every act of kindness, forgiveness, compassion, and selfless service brings us closer to God and His eternal Kingdom.

As we celebrate this beautiful feast, we invite you to use the Smart Liturgy resources prayerfully and share them with your friends, families, parishes, groups, and communities. May the example and intercession of all the saints inspire us to grow in holiness and journey together towards the eternal joy of heaven.
