TWO HEARTS, ONE LOVE
The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary invite us to contemplate the mystery of divine love and the perfect human response to that love. In the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we see God’s mercy poured out for the world: a heart pierced, burning with love, and always ready to heal, forgive, and welcome. In the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we see a heart that listens, trusts, suffers, and leads us gently to her Son.
These two feasts remind us that Christian life begins in the heart. Jesus calls us to love with compassion, forgiveness, and self-giving service. Mary teaches us to treasure God’s Word, ponder His mysteries, and say “yes” to His will in every situation. Together, the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart form us to become people of prayer, tenderness, purity, courage, and missionary love.
Smart Liturgy is happy to share these liturgical resources to help make these beautiful feasts more meaningful, prayerful, and participative. May these reflections, prayers, and introductions enrich your celebration, and may you share them with your friends, families, parish groups, and communities.
